Plant-based caterer since 2004, we have always strived to promote veganism as a desirable and tasty food choice. For this reason our cuisine is inclusive, animal-friendly and sustainable, already long before it became a trend.

 

Our trademark is ethnic cooking, where we can offer a large choice between original and exotic dishes.

 

Through the years we have learned many secrets on how to prepare meat and cheese alternatives, fermented products and attractive vegetable recipes. Often we have proposed innovative ingredients and new ideas, meeting the favor of our guests.

 

Pre-cooked products are not part of our food ethic. Eating is an experience that deserves time and attention and cannot be rushed. All our dishes are carefully prepared, and we focus especially on what the seasons have to offer.

 

As experienced caterer we provide a highly professional service combined with top food.

Between the more popular events we have organized we surely have to mention the tapas dinners at Molen de Ster, where we regularly presented a rich seasonal buffet. We have also catered an acclaimed dinner at the Oud Stadhuis, along with weddings, birthdays parties, graduation buffets, business lunches, high tea events and more.

 

The Garden of Vegan original crew was composed by real vegan pioneers.

From 2004 until 2018 we have run the very first and one of the most popular vegan cafe's in Utrecht, at ACU.

Afterwards, our chef has upgraded her experience by participating in other projects, such as Waku Waku, VanPlanten and Broei Utrecht. 

Both VanPlanten and The Garden of Vegan have received nominations for the Vegan Awards.

With over twenty years of experience in vegan cuisine, Margherita is since the beginning the creator, manager and chef of The Garden of Vegan. Professionalism and a love for new challenges have characterized her career, and have laid the bases for a unique service in vegan catering. 

For her cooking is much more than just a job, it is a lifelong passion.
